Mind Transformation Needs Daily Regulation
8 tips to help you regulate your life in Christ
By Raleigh Washington
Do not be conformed to this world, but continually
be transformed by the renewing of your minds so that you may be able to determine what God’s will is—what is
proper, pleasing, and perfect. --Romans 12:2 ISV
1) Regulate your day with the word of God with Daily Quite Time. Spend time (both morning
and evening) reading from the Old and New Testaments.
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of
sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he
meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.
--Psalm 1:1-3
2) Regulate your body.
But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I
myself should be disqualified. --1 Corinthians 9:27
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have
from God? You are not your own; you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. --1 Corinthians
6:19-20
3) Regulate your thoughts. Memorize Scripture.
We destroy arguments and every proud obstacle to the knowledge of God, and take every
thought captive to obey Christ. --2 Corinthians 10:5
In your hearts reverence Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to make a defense to anyone
who calls you to account for the hope that is in you. --1 Peter 3:15
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who has no need to be
ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. --2 Timothy 2:15
4) Regulate your behavior. Ignore the flesh, listen to the Spirit.
You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God
dwells in you. --Romans 8:9
By the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to
you.
--2 Timothy 1:14
5) Regulate your company.
Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.” --1 Corinthians 15:33
Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with
wickedness? How can light live with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a
believer be a partner with an unbeliever? --2 Corinthians 6:14-15
You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward
God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. --James 4:4
6) Regulate your inner self.
If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and
follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save
it. --Luke 9:23-24
Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the
body is weak. --Matthew 26:41
7) Regulate your heart.
I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. --Psalm 119:11
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. --Luke 12:34
8) Regulate your passion for Christ.
No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will
be devoted to the one and despise the other. --Matthew 6:24
Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, and serve the Lord. --Romans
12:11
In this you rejoice, though now for a little while you may have to suffer various
trials, so that the genuineness of your faith, more precious than gold which though perishable is tested by
fire, may redound to praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Without having seen him you
love him; though you do not now see him you believe in him and rejoice with unutterable and exalted
joy. --1 Peter 1:6-8
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a
living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this
world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and
perfect will of God. –Romans 12:1-2
