Questioning the Love of God
If God loves us so much, why would He ever send a person to a place like hell?
It is not God's desire that anyone should suffer an eternity in hell.
The Bible says, "He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come
to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9).
Hell was prepared originally for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41). However, God
will not force anyone to go to heaven. If a person willfully
refuses to repent of sin and turn to God, with faith in Jesus' sacrifice for the sins of the
world, then God has no alternative. Justice demands that those who disregard and reject God's
loving offer of pardon will pay the penalty for their own sins forever in hell.
Has this question caused you to
delay making a choice to follow God?
Choose eternal life now! The Bible says, "Now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of
salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:2).

Do you want the joy of a personal relationship with God? |
 |
Do you want to be confident that one day he will welcome you into heaven? |
Then here are four essential
truths you need to know...
Our Dilemma: We are by nature sinners who stand guilty and condemned
before our Creator and Judge. In our thoughts and actions, we have disobeyed His perfect standards. "All have
sinned and fall short of the glory of God." --Romans 3:23
Our Inability: We are helpless to save ourselves. Forgiveness is a gift to
be received, not a reward that can be earned. "The wages of sin are death, but the gift of God is eternal life
in Christ Jesus our Lord." --Romans 6:23
Our Savior: Because of His love for us, God provided salvation, Through
His Son, Jesus. He became a member of the human family, lived sinlessly, and died on the cross to pay the penalty
for all our sins. "God demonstrates His love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for
us." --Romans 5:8
Our Response: Salvation is an individual matter and requires a personal
response on the part of anyone who wants God to forgive them. All who acknowledge their sin and place their trust
in Christ are adopted as God's children. "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your
heart that God raised Him form the dead, you will be saved." --Romans 10:9
